Some perceive that retelling trauma can be cruel and not a good thing.

But Sharon Stone recognized its advantage in her 92NY interview and said “It’s a great thing. You’re supposed to write it three times. Writing your things that are traumatic three times is supposed to cleanse you a bit.” But in her case, she shared that “It takes more than three years to work through this.

The cleansing effect of writing depends on you and how deep your pain is.
