Some things can cause stress in our lives, but our resiliency enables us to overcome those difficulties. However, when disappointment after disappointment happens, it could result in increased number of stress hormones. This may not only lead to possible psychological problems but physiological as well.

Cortisol is a stress hormone that can cause physiological concerns. It is also linked to depression because high cortisol levels in the body for too long can lead to depression.
